MY REFLECTION
I have been learning to use strategies to add detail to my writing.  wrote about a moment in time during my holiday.  I used my 5 senses to add detail to my writing.  The best part of this was when I got to choose a picture.  My next step is to put a little bit more effort into my work.

Prefix, suffix and root words

MY REFLECTION

I have been learning to use my knowledge of prefixes, and suffixes to read and understand the meaning of words.  A  prefix is a group of letters that come at the begining of the word that can change the meaning of the word.  a suffix is a letter or group of letters at the end of a word or new meaning.  I found this tricky because I firstly didn't know what a prefix was.  my next step was to Identify the prefix

My Pepeha Art

This is my pepeha art.   A pepeha is a way of introducing yourself in maori.  I have included my 

maunga (mountain) ,my awa (river, my culture and a place which is special to me .  my favourite part

of this was drawing  my maunga.  I enjoyed doing this art work.

My Antonym Diamante Poem

                                        MY REFLECTION
I have been learning to write an antonym diamante poem.  An antonym is a
word that is the oppisite.   a diamante poem is a sentance with ajectives nouns
and verbs made into a shape of a diamond. I found this kind of hard to think of the words for the poem.
My next step is to use adjectives and verbs in the right place.

I have been learning to find and summarise information in non-fiction texts.
I need to improve to have more detail I got a lot better at typing.  My next 
step is to make sure look for key words or ideas when I read to help me 
find the information more quick.

I have been learning to collect data using a tally chart and show the results on a bar graph.  I found this fun
becasue I chose rugby and it made me exited and it was fun and easy.  I was suprised nearly everybody chose rugby.  My next step is to show data on a differnt graph.
