In this activity I had to make a prediction of what Gansta Granny book is about just by looking at the cover and blurb. In this activity I found it easy because I have read some of the book.

My Reflection 

In this activity I had to work out how many weeks, days, hours and even minutes. I felt that this task  hard because in the hours I thought that It counted the whole day but it was only hours.

In this avtivity I had to write a speech draft about why you should play rugby.  Introduction introduces topic and states opinions and 1 idea per paragraph.

In this activity I had to find adjectives and adverbs.  I think the activity was easy because I had already known what they are.  My next step is to use adjectives and adverbs more in my writing.

In this activity I had to use my perswasive skills to find Slogan, expert opinion, testimonial, bandwagon, repetition, emotional appeal.  I found this activity a little tricky because It was hard to find the 6 perswasive techniques.

 In this activity I had to research facts about Treacher Collins Syndrome.  I think I was researching well and giving good ansewrs.  In this activity I liked that we got to do heeps and heeps of research.

MY REFLECTION

I had to make a poster and in that poster I had to choose my face, hair, eyes and  accessories then I had to write my name or as they said it, tag your masterpiece so I did with my name which can be seen above the medium sized WONDER at the bottom or you can find below the avatar portrait.

In this activity I was learning to understand the place value system. I had to find patterns to figure out big numbers. I now understand more about how numbers work.

I had to find a song that inspires me.

I had to write an explanation about a bug habitat. I know achieved the success criteria because I included sequencing words, technical words and had only one idea per paragragh. 

My next step is to know what to write straight away.  I can now write an explanation.

Critiquing an Explanation

MY REFLECTION

It was trickey to find techinal words and simple present because I did'nt know what they were.  My next step is to figure out harder critiquing an explanation later in the year.

Well balanced arguement

MY REFLECTION

On tuesday we had learnt how to write an well belanced arguement Argument.First we had to  write the pros and cons in our books.Then we had to write the introduction then our ideas. My next step could be to write another argument to practice using this structure. The most helpful thing when writing this was talking to others because they gave me feedback and ideas.

today i did isect mouth parts and it was fun.

We watched a video to know what mouth part insects have.

I felt so happy because I had some friends to help me when I get stuck .

I am most proud of my work because I had help from everyone in the class.

  I had to read some articles about the brain to answer some comprehension questions.  My next step is to make sure all my answers are in full sentences.

My Welcome Post 2018

Welcome to my year 5 learning blog.  This year I am  in room 25 and my teacher is Miss Fisher.  I enjoy sport and computer work. A goal I have this year is to be more reselient I hope you enjoy my log and leave lots of feedback.
